WAY TO
GO OWEN
YOU
DID IT
AGAIN
Caution
reads Owen Hart's outfit, and I think it suits him well. For the
second time in a year or a little more, Owen Hart has seriously hurt a
superstars neck on a pile driver. The first time Owen got lucky,
Stone Cold wasn't severely hurt. Could you imagine where the WWF
would be if that ended Stone Cold's career? Anyway remember the "I
Just Broke Your Neck T-Shirts", well those might be coming back soon considering
what happened last Monday on Monday Night RAW.
Owen
"the black hart" Hart requested a match
with Dan the Beast Severn after what happened at Summer Slam in the Lion's
Den Match with Ken Shamrock. The Beast was coaching Owen for the
match and when Owen was caught in Shamrock's Ankle Lock Submission, Dan
the Beast Severn walked away, instead of throwing in the towel.
Before the
match begin The Beast mocked what he did at Summer Slam, by acting like
he was going to throw a towel but just shook his head. When the match
got started, Severn had control doing lot of tumbling around on the mat
with unusual types of slams, like Severn always does. But as the
match progresses, Severn went for a submission choke hold. He got
it on but Owen did a flip over Severn's head and took control. Seconds
later Owen picked the big 300-pounder up in a "Tombstone" position.
Instead of dropping to his knees like the Undertaker and Kane, he dropped
to his butt. As you can see in the picture above, Severn's head is
clearly below Owen's legs. When Severn's head hit the canvas, his
neck cantilevered to one side, while his formidable girth compresses against
the disks of his spinal column. Severn's legs and arms went numb.
When the ref was checking him out, Severn told him he couldn't move his
arms. Owen had a terror look on his face and couldn't believe what
he had done. The television program cut to commercial, and when they
came back on air, Severn was being loaded into an ambulance.
There isn't
any information on Severn's status at this time, but when I get it, I'll
be sure to announce it, but I don't think you'll be seeing Dan the Beast
Severn in the ring for quite a while.
As for Owen
Hart, he is in shock. Sources close to Owen say he is "undergoing
a personal moratorium". Also the word is, that we might not see Owen
Hart for awhile either, he has made plans to return to Calgary where he
plans to contemplate his future.
